I am just another asshole, in a long line of assholes. But
I am a brutally honest asshole. I am not a doctor, nor do I believe
that there is such a thing as an expert where the human condition
exists. I am a construction worker with a different perspective.
Why should I listen to Richard
Woods?
You shouldn’t. You should listen to your conscience.
All I do is present a few facts, and explain my logic to you. It’s
up to you to see if what I have to offer makes any sense to you. If
you think the jerk-offs in the self-help section of your local bookstore
have some sort of special wisdom that they can impart to you, by all
means buy their books instead. I hope you fare better than most people
do.

What do you mean by UnLEARN!?
We have been taught a set of standards. Conventional wisdom,
if followed will almost certainly lead you to a life of misery. Those
who excel in their lives tend to do things differently than the masses.
It is the same with marriage, and I believe you have to UnLEARN! some
of the conventional wisdom our society takes for granted if you really
want to be happily married. Half of all married couple get divorced.
The other half ain’t doin’ so well either. I have a few
thoughts that might help you see things differently.
Does this book go against
religion?
Oh yeah… and then some.

Do you hate God?
Not at all, I have never met him. Actually I don’t
believe in God. I don’t feel that I have any control over that.
I would love to be wrong, but at least I am being honest. I think
that if I am wrong, and there is a God, that he would prefer me to
be honest rather than try to bullshit him. All I require of my readers
is that they be honest where their faith is concerned as well. I have
no problem at all with anyone who believes in God provided they are
true believers. I do however have a problem with anyone who tells
me or anyone else what we should believe.
What is a Non-Mon?
A Non-Mon is anyone who doesn’t believe that monogamy
is necessary for a strong healthy relationship…I have a whole
section called ”the Non-Mon guide” on this website. Check
it out.

What is the Vanilla Cult?
I make a million references to this in the book. The Vanilla
Cult is comprised of the more judgmental parts of our society. Usually
this applies to sex and sexuality. You can be a completely monogamous
couple with a minivan and a white picket fence, and if are willing
to allow others their own freedom of sexual expression, you are NOT
in the Vanilla Cult. If however, you want to put a label on, or judge
others that don’t conform to YOUR standards; well then, you
ARE in the Vanilla Cult. If the latter is the case, you can also go
fuck yourself.
What do you have against
monogamy?
I don’t have anything against monogamy. I have no problem
with couples that want to remain monogamous. I will maintain though,
that the vast majority of married couples DO NOT remain so, and they
either cheat on each other, or become emotionally distant. As time
goes on in Vanilla marriages, sex occurs less and less. I am not the
first genius to realize that Vanilla, married sex is boring, and it
usually sucks.

Why do you call it the “self-hurt”
industry?
Because I believe that there are far too many irresponsible
scumbags who take advantage of people when they are at their most
vulnerable by selling cookie cutter psycho-babble, and dime store
advice. These shitheals are as bad as dug dealers in my eyes. They
do more harm than good.
Are you saying that there
are no good psychologists or therapists?
No No No…Not at all. I know that there are many good
ones out there, and I also know that there are many people who need
those who can offer professional help. I don’t even mind professionals
that I disagree with, provided I believe their intentions are to help
those in need.
What is the airspeed velocity
of a swallow?
What do you mean, and African or a European Swallow?
